Pohjanmaa kansainvälisen valokuvauskilpailun näyttämönä elokuussa – paikalliset harrastajat tervetulleita mukaan

Kilpailusta kiinnostuneille järjestetään infotilaisuus torstaina 13. elokuuta klo 9.30 Vaasan kaupungintalon peilisalissa (Senaatinkatu 1, 3. kerros).

“ Ostrobothnia Photo Trophy”

Ostrobothnia becomes the main stage of the 21st Paris-North Cape Photo Adventure

• The Ostrobothnia part of the 21st Paris-North Cape Photo Adventure will take place from August 13th to 14th 2026.

• More than 50 persons from 20 counties of France and one team from Switzerland will arrive on August 12th 2026 in Ostrobothnia. On the first day of the adventure, a welcoming event with a press conference and photo exhibition will be organized for the Ostrobothnia Photo Trophy. For two days, the group will travel through Ostrobothnia in search of  the most beautiful pictures in accordance with the suggested themes.

• Amateur photographers, even beginners, residing in Ostrobothnia are also welcome to participate. It will be interesting to compare how locals view your region with how people from all over France and Switzerland do.

• The Culture and Communication team at the Regional Council of Ostrobothnia has prepared a list of all the important sites to discover: The Kvarken archipelago, of course, but also the most beautiful hiking trails, the superb Wasaline cruise, Strömsö, the old and new Vaasa, Bergö Island, Korsnäs, Laihia, boat trips, Kaskinen, Sälgrund, Närpes, Kristinestad, Jakobstad, Fäboda Beach, Mässkär Island, …

• On August 14th, 2026 a local Photo Jury will select the best images. A closing press conference and screening will take place to present the best images from the Ostrobothnia Photo Trophy. A giant, high-quality photo print, in a tear-resistant format, will be offered to the winners of this trophy (photos of their choice). We also wish to offer the highest-ranking resident of Ostrobothnia a trip to France to attend the arrival of the 21st Paris-North Cape race on August 21 in Paris (negotiations are ongoing).
